What sets Storming Crab apart is their focus on freshness and quality. They serve up a variety of seafood options, including shrimp, crab, lobster, clams, mussels, and fish, all prepared to order. One of their standout features is the "boil-in-bag" approach to cooking, where your seafood is tossed in a special blend of seasonings and then sealed in a bag to steam. This method locks in all the natural flavors and juices, giving you a meal that’s packed with taste and moisture. Whether you opt for the Cajun, garlic butter, or lemon pepper seasoning, the flavors are bold, aromatic, and absolutely satisfying.

If you're wondering what to try, their signature "Storming Crab Special" is a must-try. This dish features a combination of shrimp, crab, mussels, and corn on the cob, all seasoned with their famous Storming Crab sauce. It's a perfect option for those who want to sample a variety of seafood in one hearty meal. Additionally, the "Cajun Fries" served on the side are a great complement, crispy and seasoned just right.

Aside from the seafood boils, Storming Crab offers a range of other delicious dishes. The "Fried Shrimp Basket" and "Crab Cakes" are fan favorites, both cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. For those who prefer something less messy, the restaurant also offers grilled seafood options, including grilled shrimp and fish, which are lighter yet still full of flavor. The "Seafood Mac and Cheese" is another popular choice, combining creamy cheese with tender seafood for an indulgent bite.

Another highlight of Storming Crab is the drink menu, which includes a selection of craft beers, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages. Whether you're looking for a refreshing beer to pair with your meal or a tropical cocktail to sip on, there’s something for everyone. Their "Frozen Daiquiri" is a particularly refreshing choice, especially on a warm Knoxville afternoon.

The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable, making it a great value for the quality and amount of food you receive. Plus, if you're in the mood for some entertainment while you eat, Storming Crab often plays upbeat music, adding to the fun, energetic atmosphere of the restaurant.

  • Food was amazingly delicious! We order the number seven boil with a garlic butter and medium heat. This included corn, lobster, crab, potatoes, sausage, and shrimp. The butter was a perfect consistency and the seasoning was on point. Eating the sausage with the seasoning was a little salty. However, the writing on walls within the interior and exterior decreased the ambience of the restaurant. Pieces of paper lay on the tables before food is served. One host and server were walking with paper along the front of their body dangling close to their feet - concerns of sanitary conditions. Lastly, the prices for certain food items were not included in the menu. They were on two chalk boards on the walls. I assume prices weren’t in menus because the cost of seafood may change. We had to ask our server where to look and how much the items were.

  • Always a Great Experience for Our Family We come to Storming Crab several times a year to celebrate different moments for our little family, and I can’t believe I haven’t left a review until today. The service is consistently great every single time. I always order water with all the fruit from the bar, and Amanda didn’t bat an eye she brought it out beautifully and wasn’t stingy at all. It looked amazing! The food was delicious and full of flavor. We ordered the #6 for three people and added sausage, plus an extra lobster tail since it already comes with two and we wanted to make sure my father got his own. It was perfect. Highly recommend for great service, great food, and a great atmosphere.

  • We had an early dinner last Friday, amazing service from our server and waitress Amanda. Seafood was amazing as always, I’ve eaten at this restaurant several times. We did not get to meet the owner Three, his employees spoke very highly of him. We even got a small gift, it is pictured here with our dinner. 10O% recommended if your taste buds are wanting some amazing seafood.

  • All the seafood was so good and tasted so fresh. Even the lobster wasn’t chewy! Highly recommend if you’re wanting a crab feast. We will be back. Amanda was our server and she did great!

  • Amazing Experience at Storming Crab! I went to Storming Crab last night and had one of the best dining experiences ever. My server, Michael, was outstanding from start to finish. Super friendly, checked on me at the perfect times, and made sure everything was spot on. I ordered the #6 combo, and it was delicious — perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. To top it all off, the owner surprised me with a free neck pillow as a gift! I’ve never had a restaurant make me feel that appreciated. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

  • We were a party of four, and it was the first time here for all of us. We read lots and lots of reviews before going, and had a good idea of what to expect. It was around 1:30, and we were seated immediately. Service was really good. The writing on the walls was not an ugly distraction, and didn't effect our experience at all. The starter is that yummy cheesy garlic bread everyone mentioned in reviews I read. Delicious! The clam strips appetizer was excellent and literally could have been a meal. All the portions were generous. Two had shrimp, and both said it was great! I had catfish. I'll be honest... it tasted very "fishy". One bite and I was done. If you don't mind a strong fish taste, then you'll love it. I gave it back, and they took it off the ticket. My husband had cod, and loved it. As with any fried food, there's plenty of grease.
